Sieving ← Here

The rocking sieve is the final quality control step before packaging. After blending, the CMC or PAC powder passes through the sieve to remove any oversize particles or agglomerates that were not fully broken down in the crushing stage, ensuring the packaged product consistently meets the mesh size specification.

The gyratory rocking motion provides efficient screening with high throughput while being gentle enough to avoid generating additional fines — preserving the particle size distribution established in the hammer mill. Oversize rejects are typically returned to the crusher for reprocessing.

Key Design Features

  • Compact Φ1500 mm screen deck — reference configuration uses a 1.5 m diameter screen deck, 304 stainless steel construction, at 500 kg unit weight; rated to 65°C / 0.09 MPa.G design conditions.
  • Gyratory rocking motion — the rocking sieve uses a horizontal gyratory motion that efficiently conveys powder across the screen surface and prevents blinding (screen clogging), maintaining stable throughput over extended production runs.
  • Stainless steel screen frames and housing — all product-contact components in stainless steel. Screen mesh in SUS304 or SUS316 woven wire, easily replaceable for different mesh sizes or worn screens.
  • Multiple deck configuration — single or double deck configurations available. Double deck allows simultaneous separation of oversize and undersize fractions, useful where both coarse and fine out-of-specification material must be rejected.
  • Dust-tight enclosed design — fully enclosed screen housing with flexible connections at inlet and outlet to contain fine CMC/PAC powder and prevent cross-contamination or operator exposure.
  • Replaceable mesh screens — screen mesh panels are quick-change design for easy replacement during maintenance or when switching between product grades requiring different mesh specifications.
  • High throughput at low noise — smooth gyratory motion produces lower vibration and noise levels compared to circular vibratory screeners, suitable for enclosed production environments.
