A standard CMC or PAC production line consists of six main process stages. We cover equipment supply and engineering for all stages.

Opening, sizing, and dissolving raw materials — refined cotton, wood pulp board, monochloroacetic acid, and caustic soda — to the specifications required for the reaction stage.
The core reaction stage where cellulose is first alkalized with caustic soda, then etherified with monochloroacetic acid to produce CMC or PAC. Both reactions take place in kneader reactors under controlled temperature and atmosphere.
Crude CMC/PAC is neutralized, washed with aqueous ethanol to remove by-products, and separated by centrifuge. The ethanol-water mixture from washing is simultaneously recovered by distillation for reuse.
Wet CMC/PAC cake from the centrifuge is dried to target moisture content, then crushed to the required particle size. Dryer type is selected based on product grade, capacity, and energy requirements.
Crushed powder is blended to achieve grade uniformity across batches, then sieved to remove oversize particles and ensure consistent mesh size for the final product.
